Meet Yoyo Yang – An Inspirational Educator at the Village Kids' Club

We are delighted to introduce Yoyo Yang, a distinguished member of our educational team at the Village Kids' Club. With a profound dedication to childhood and adolescent development, Yoyo brings a rich blend of academic and practical experience to our community.

Academic Excellence: Yoyo';s academic journey is marked by remarkable achievements. Currently enrolled in San Francisco State University's Multiple Subject Credential Program with Chinese Bilingual Authorization, she maintains an impressive 4.0 GPA. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to achieve a Bachelor of Arts in Children and Adolescents Development, focusing on Elementary Education Teaching Pre-Credential, from the same university. She also holds an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education and an Associate of Art in Child Development from Merritt College, along with an Associate of Art in Humanities & Social Sciences, and Language Arts from Laney College – all achieved with a 4.0 GPA.

Multifaceted Skills and Experience: Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Yoyo is proficient in a variety of professional tools including Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop, and has over ten years of experience in an office environment. Her work experience is as diverse as her skills, ranging from substitute teaching at San Francisco Unified School District, where she managed classroom dynamics and collaborated with fellow educators, to her role as a Chinese Teacher at Oakland Wong’s Junior Chapter Learning Center and Shoong Family Chinese Cultural Center, where she developed engaging syllabus and lesson plans.

Yoyo's passion for education extends beyond the classroom. As a CHDEV and Tech/Chinese Tutor at Merritt College and Laney College, respectively, she has demonstrated her ability to improve academic performance through personalized tutoring. Her experience as an Afternoon Teacher at Ark Christian Preschool and a Chinese Teacher at Sunset Chinese School in San Francisco further highlights her commitment to nurturing young minds.

Her academic excellence has been recognized through numerous scholarships, underscoring her dedication and commitment to her field of study. We are thrilled to have her as part of our team, bringing her wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to our enriching programs.
