About the Class

Join us for Sunday Piano a delightful 35-minute group piano class designed for musicians, with some piano experience, 6-10 years old at The Village Kids' Club. Under the expert guidance of Louis Orren, this class combines fun musicianship lessons with practical piano skills in an engaging and supportive group setting. Class Structure: 1. Musicianship Through Recreation • Each session kicks off with an activity that introduces a primary musical concept. This could be rhythm, melody, harmony, or musical notation, This engages the students and warm up their minds for the piano lesson ahead. 2. First Piano Exercise • This segment is designed to ease them into the world of piano playing, focusing on basic techniques and preparing them for the main piece of the session. 3. Introduction to the Piece • Louis introduces the main piece from the current lesson book. He'll demonstrate specific methods and techniques for playing the piece, breaking down challenging parts and ensuring students understand the nuances of the composition. 4. Independent Practice with Support • Students engage in independent practice, applying what they've learned to the piece. Louis circulates among the students, providing individual support, tips, and encouragement. This personalized attention ensures each student progresses at their own pace while receiving the guidance they need. 5. Assignment and Musical Release • As the session winds down, students are assigned specific parts of the piece to practice at home. The class concludes with a musical release activity, a fun and relaxing way to end the session, often involving a group musical game or a brief interactive performance. Cancellation Policy

For classes and evening events: To cancel or reschedule, please contact us 72 hours in advance. Please note any refund will be less the payment processor fee of 3%. For Camps and Special Events: Camps are non-refundable.
